About us

This website and its product pages are run by Standard Wear.

When you buy from any of our product pages, your contract is with Standard Wear, and "Standard Wear" is the name you'll see on your bank statement and order emails.

We work with trusted UK warehouse partners, so your order may be packed and posted directly from one of their UK warehouses rather than from our own address.

Delivery

We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom. All orders are sent from UK warehouses, so there are no import charges or customs fees to pay on delivery.

Delivery is free and tracked on every order. How long your item takes to be dispatched and delivered is shown on its product page and at checkout.

"Working days" means Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands can take a few days longer. If we can't deliver to your postcode, we'll tell you and refund you in full.

All orders are tracked. We'll email you a tracking link once your order has left the warehouse.

Late or missing orders

If your order hasn't arrived within the timescale shown on the product page, email us and we'll chase it. If it hasn't arrived within 30 days of your order, you can cancel and we'll give you a full refund, including delivery. Your order is our responsibility until it's delivered to you or to someone you've nominated.

Returns & refunds

Changed your mind? You have 14 days

You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive it. You don't need to give a reason. You can also cancel at any time before it's delivered.

How to cancel

  1. Email queries@standardwear.store within the 14 days saying you want to cancel, with your name, order number and the item you're returning.
  2. We'll reply with the address to send it back to. Please don't post it back without contacting us first, as returns go to the warehouse your order came from.
  3. Send the item back within 14 days of telling us you're cancelling. We recommend a tracked service and keeping your proof of postage.

Your refund

  • We'll refund you within 14 days of receiving the item back, or of you giving us proof that you've sent it, whichever is sooner. If you cancel before the item is sent, we'll refund within 14 days of you telling us.
  • We refund the full price you paid for the item. Delivery to you was free, so there's no delivery charge to refund.
  • We refund to the card or payment method you used.

Return postage

If you've changed your mind, you pay the cost of sending the item back. For most items this is the cost of a standard parcel. If an item is too large to post and needs a courier, the return cost is shown on its product page before you buy.

If the item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, we pay all return costs. See Faulty items below.

Condition of returns

You're welcome to handle and try an item as you would in a shop, and you don't need the original packaging. Please pack it carefully. If an item has been used or damaged beyond what's needed to check it, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value. Please include all parts and accessories that came with it.

Faulty, damaged or wrong items

If something arrives faulty, damaged or isn't what you ordered, we'll put it right, and we pay all return costs. Please email us with your order number and a photo of the problem, and we'll arrange a replacement, repair or refund.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they aren't:

  • Within 30 days of delivery, you can reject the item for a full refund.
  • Within 6 months, if a repair or replacement doesn't fix the problem, you're entitled to a refund in most cases.
  • After 6 months, you may still be entitled to a repair, replacement or partial refund, depending on the fault.

Nothing in these policies affects your legal rights. For more information, contact Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133 or visit citizensadvice.org.uk.

Terms of sale

Your order

When you place an order, you'll receive an email confirming we've received it. Our contract with you is formed when we email you to confirm your order has been dispatched. If we can't accept your order, for example because an item is out of stock, we'll tell you and won't charge you, or we'll refund you in full if payment has been taken.

Prices and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies. Delivery charges are shown before you pay. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers (such as Stripe and PayPal); we never see or store your full card details.

Product information

We take care to describe and photograph our products accurately, but colours may look slightly different on your screen, and product photos may include styling items that aren't included. What's included is listed on each product page.

Children's products

Where a product is for children, its age range, weight limit and any assembly or supervision needs are shown on its product page. Please read and follow the safety instructions supplied with the product.

Our responsibility to you

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products.

Disputes

If you're unhappy with anything, please email us first and we'll do our best to sort it out quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in your local courts.

Privacy notice

This notice explains how Standard Wear uses your personal information. We're the "data controller" under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

  • To keep records for tax and accounting (a legal obligation).
  • To prevent fraud and keep our website secure (our legitimate interests).
  • To measure and improve our adverts, only where you've agreed to advertising cookies (your consent).

We only send marketing emails if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required for tax purposes. We keep emails for as long as needed to deal with your query.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, to ask for it to be transferred, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email queries@standardwear.store. We'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:

  • Essential cookies that make checkout work, such as remembering what's in your basket. These don't need your consent.
  • Advertising cookies, such as the Meta Pixel, which tell us whether our Facebook and Instagram ads led to a visit or purchase. We only use these if you agree, and you can change your mind at any time.

Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential cookies are needed for checkout to work.
